Start Workout

Choose between indoor and outdoor rowing.

For indoor rowing the stroke rate is measured in addition to the heart-rate and the elapsed time.

Outdoor rowing

For outdoor rowing the Apple Watch App additionally displays the pace (minutes/500m) and the covered distance (km or mi).

Auto Pause

The Apple Watch App automatically switches to a summary display when detecting a workout pause.

The summary shows the pause time, the change in heart-rate since the pause started, the intensity calculated from the mean heart-rate and the average stroke-rate.

Start concept2 Workout

The connection to a concept2 ergometer uses Bluetooth for the data transmission between the Apple Watch and the rowing ‹device›. Therefore Bluetooth on the Apple Watch has to be turned on and the concept2 needs a PM5.

After connecting to a selected ‹device›, the Apple Watch App waits for the workout to be started on the concept2 ‹device›.

The iPhone is not needed to start or during the workout.

Indoor concept2 rowing

During the concept2 workout, the current power output (Watt) is displayed below the pace.

The stroke rate is calculated using the movement of the Apple Watch App, as it is done when rowing on the water.
